Welcome to AceTrackr.
AceTrackr is a dedicated utility tool built for tennis players of all levels who want to streamline analysis on their serve practice sessions. Available natively on iOS.
We know how tedious it is to manually scrub through an hour of practice footage just to watch a few minutes of actual serving. AceTrackr solves this by acting as a smart video trimmer. Simply upload your practice session, and the application automatically removes the dead space, giving you a clean, continuous feed of your serves for close video analysis and review.
Current Features
- Automated Dead Space Trimming: Upload your session video, and we automatically isolate your serves, cutting out ball pickups and downtime.
- Dedicated Serve Replay: A focused environment to replay and visually analyze your serve mechanics without the hassle of scrubbing through long, unedited video files.
- Accessible Video Support: While some analysis software requires 60fps footage or expensive cameras, our pipeline is optimized to accept standard 30fps (or even lower quality) videos. You can just use your everyday smartphone. (Note: Our ultimate goal for the full release is to provide a seamless, high-quality product that natively supports all types of high-end hardware and resolutions as well).
Current Limitations
We want to be transparent about a few current constraints:
- AI Detection Accuracy: Our AI serve detection is highly capable, but it isn't perfect yet. The models are constantly learning and improving, meaning you might occasionally see a missed serve or a false positive.
- Environmental Factors: For the best results, ensure your camera has a clear, stable view of the court. Poor lighting, shaky footage, or multiple players crossing the camera's line of sight can temporarily reduce detection accuracy.
- Processing Time: Video analysis is resource-intensive. Depending on server load, it may take a few minutes after uploading for your session to be fully trimmed and ready for review.
The Future of AceTrackr (Roadmap)
We are building the ultimate analytical tool for your tennis serve. Here is what we have planned for upcoming releases:
- Side-by-Side Video Analysis: Compare your current serve side-by-side with your serves from a few months ago to visualize your progress, or compare your mechanics directly alongside professional players.
- AI Serve Analysis & Scoring: An intelligent scoring system—backed by domain experts and tennis coaches—that will automatically evaluate the quality and mechanics of your serve. This includes tracking specific metrics such as:
- Ball toss height and consistency
- Racket drop depth
- Point of contact and extension
